Note: This 18" wide carpeting is designed for use on 4x8, 3x8, and 2x6 boards. If you use this on your 4x8 bunk boards, a small section of the board will be exposed on the underside.
Over time, the carpeting that covers your bunk boards can wear down or even tear apart. This can lead to scratches on your boat's hull. Replacing the carpeting periodically ensures protection for your boat, and it will also prevent your wooden bunk boards from rotting.
To get started, remove the old carpet from your bunk boards, doing your best to remove any old staples and bolts from the boards as well.
Cut the carpet to the appropriate length and lay it down so that the backing is facing up, then place your bunk board on top. Make sure that there's enough extra carpet to wrap around the sides and ends of the board. Then wrap the carpet around one side and staple it in place.
Once you're done with the first side, tightly pull the carpet around the opposite edge of the board and secure it with staples. Loose carpet can easily snag or tear, leaving the wooden board vulnerable to moisture or damage.
Once both sides are securely attached, tuck any extra carpet at the ends in tightly, like you're wrapping a package, and secure the ends to the board with staples.

Resists mold and mildew.I want to thank you for all your help with my trailer you were more helpful than you realize. So this is my trailer for a 22' Flats Cat shallow draft Catamaran. I totally dismantled my trailer and buffed by hand with a wire buffer and sand blasted in some spots and applied multiple coats of some very expensive galvanize paint (Z.R.C.). I installed all new C. E. Smith Carpet (about 80'), seven new LED waterproof lights, new springs, new equalizers, new tongue jack, new wench, new safety chain, new chain brackets, all new SS hardware and a 35' long wiring harness.
I was able to send only one review with a picture of the safety chain and brackets. I'm having a little trouble with the rest..oh some of these items were bought locally or from your competitors, until I found etrailer. Your prices were cheaper for the exact same things. Your helpful how to videos were helpful. And Rose, your personal helpful knowledge made my buying experience very pleasant, I actually enjoyed talking to you! My trailer had been stored outside for several years. The metal, wood and carpet had deteriorated to a point the trailer could no longer be used safely. CE Smith Marine carpet is thick and durable. Cuts cleanly and when applied to the bunks it looks great. Used 1/2" stainless staples to secure carpet along length and stainless screws with washers to secure end wraps.

After a year of use, the carpeting is holding up beautifully. Im very satisfied with this product.
Very good product. Subject to some staining even with very limited time submerged. Product was well packaged and was easy to apply to the wooden bunks. Would definitely recommend purchase this product from eTrailer.com.

Still very pleased with the carpet used on our lift bunks. Have recommended this product to a couple friends who have been equally pleased with the product. Im about to buy another set to replace our friends bunks.
I searched a lot of products on a lot of sites before I found the right bunk-liner carpet on etrailer. Primary to my purchase was a good search engine that helped me know what I was buying.

The repair/upgrade to my Trailer was helped greatly by this quality bunk-carpet replacement,
Holding up very well after first full year of use
Did fender boards and first time I bumped one, the boat cut thru the carpet
Not near as tough as original. Have not done the bunks yet. Pretty disappointed so far.

ok, but 16 wt. for carpet bunks was not as heavy and durable as I had hoped. Definitely not as good as the original. Wish I would have got the 20 wt.
Had this on my trailer for a year now, had held up well and have had no issues with it. I would buy it again!
Carpet has help up well after one year.
it went on ok until the third bunk and by then i had the hang of it, great carpet

This product is the best bought 3 rolls. It is perfect when you have 2X6 plastic boards. We bought Stainless Steel staples & used a Bostitch air stapler 2 hours all done looks great!! Will buy again for my friends boat trailer repair!!

The carpeting is providing excellent protection for my bay boat. The thick fabric has been a great choice to replace the worn carpet that came with the boat (purchased used). I highly recommend this product if you need new carpet for your boat trailer,

Works as advertised. Easy to install and looks good finished. Just make sure you get long enough staples. Plenty of fabric to do two 8foot bunks.
